He also directed the Ascot scene and the bar room scene where they sang 'Get me to the Church on Time'. He won an Oscar for his work on the movie. Gene Allan lives in Newport, California , these photographs came to the museum via David Grant, President and Chief Coach at Orange County College Rowing Club, California.
