The painting shows three moorings jutting out from the bank, a man is working on a single scull boat at the centre mooring. People walk along the bank and behind them are five blue and white stripey tents.

An unframed oil painting showing an early morning scene from Henley Royal Regatta. On the right of the picture lined along the bank and reflected in the river are the blue and white striped boat tents. On the left are the white marquees and stands near the finishing line. There are some eights preparing to launch and one already travelling down the river.
