Desborough Medal given to K.L. Osbourne of Lensbury Rowing Club in 1953.
The Desborough Medal was instituted by the Thames Conservators in 1953, to commemorate the coronation and perpetuate the memory of Lord Desborough.
Keith Osbourne was one of the first to receive the medal that is presented annually.
One side has the crest of the Thames Conservancy and 'K L Osbourne lensbury Rowing Club 1953' engraved at the bottom. Other side has a coat of arms with 'Chairman of the Conservators of the River Thames 1905-1937' engraved in the centre and 'William Grenfell Baron Desborough of taplow K.G.G.C.V.O.' around the edge.
