Lead weight with string threaded through the middle.
Recovered during the restoration of the Chantry House in Henley, 2003-2004. These finds were recovered from between the second floor floorboards and the first floor ceiling at the south end of the building, by sieving the debris taken out of this void.
A piece of a Roman colander found in the River Thames, thought to have been used as a fish net weight or loom weight.
Found in Buscot weir pool from an eroded bank by David Wilson (23059800).
A roughly shaped piece of grey perforated grey pottery possibly used to weigh down fishing nets in the River Thames.
(NB Could this be a Roman Colander?)
