Description
Ernest Walker silver cup with a Cookham Regatta base which was lent to RAF Benson.
The Challenge Cup was presented to Ernest Walker in 1896 for single punting by the Watermen of Cookham and Bourne End. The base and cup was lent to RAF Benson in 1949 for the Inter section fours.
Large silver cup with beading around the stem and base. Description inscribed on the front and the winners inscribed on the back. The base is black wood with a silver collar around the neck and four silver plaques around the middle. Felt on the bottom.
