Cigarette card titled 'Cambridge University B.C.' -30 showing, in monochrome photo, an overhead stern view of the eight at the catch. On the reverse the heading 'The World of Sport -A series of 50 real photographs-30'. Underneath text describing how Cambridge won the 1927 boat race. At the bottom 'Lambert and Butlar -England'. Note this card is identical to 2003.532.887 apart from the latter having no reference to a manufacturer.

His extensive collection includes material from many years of the Oxford and Cambridge University Boat Race, and Henley Royal Regatta. He also lectures and writes on rowing history and is a Trustee of the River and Rowing Museum.
