The Light Blue's Twenty-Ninth Victory: The University Boat-Race of 1907

Double page from Supplement to The Illustrated London News with illustration by S. Begg showing victors sitting upright near left as Oxford slumps over their oars in mid-distance, spectators cheer and following steamers emit plumes of smoke; bordered by photos and drawings of the race and individual head photo portraits of the crews.

Also features a black and white photograph of the crowds of spectators on the reverse.

Part of the Thomas E. Weil Collection. Thomas E. Weil is a very knowledgeable and respected collector of rowing memorabilia from all over the world. His extensive collection includes material from many years of the Oxford and Cambridge University Boat Race, and Henley Royal Regatta. He also lectures and writes on rowing history and is a Trustee of the River and Rowing Museum.
