Description
Etching of Henley Bridge, Red Lion and St Mary's church tower from downstream from 'The Thames: Oxford to London' - Owen John Dullea, twenty etched plates by David Law (1882) produced by George Bell & Sons, York Street (London).

There is a coxed four approaching the bridge, and no indication of Leander Club structures on the riverbank. Signed indistinctly in lower right corner in plate. Circa 1895.

Part of the Thomas E. Weil Collection. Thomas E. Weil is a very knowledgeable and respected collector of rowing memorabilia from all over the world. His extensive collection includes material from many years of the Oxford and Cambridge University Boat Race, and Henley Royal Regatta. He also lectures and writes on rowing history and is a Trustee of the River and Rowing Museum.
