Description
90/100 Boat Race Eight Annabel Eyres 1990

Un-mounted coloured silkscreen showing lino/vorticist high stern view of men's eight in mid stroke. The boat divides the frame into light and dark blue water, and the oarsmen alternate light and dark blue uniforms.

This design was originally utilized to decorate T-shirts for the "Rock the Boat" label, and was later adapted as a print (the signed date represents the date the design was created, not necessarily the date the print was pulled).

Annabel Eyres was a member of the British national rowing squad for years, placing fifth in the women's quad in the 1996 Barcelona Olympics; her powerful, colorful, exuberant and dynamic designs constitute some of the best graphic work celebrating the sport of rowing.
