Description
A photograph of the Oxford eight oared racing boat that was used in the first University Boat Race rowed on the River Thames at Henley in 1829.
The race was held on the 10th June 1829, Oxford won easily in a time of 14 minutes and 3 seconds.
The boat is now on permenant display in the Rowing Gallery of the River & Rowing Museum.
