Description
The T.M.C.C. Trophy presented to the Dittons Skiff & Punting Club by the Commodore & Vice Commodore of The Thames Motor Cruising Club, 1934, won by Margaret Alice Evelyn Barlow

Small silver engraved cup with stand

Letter from Douglas Beath:
"Margaret grew up always on or near the Thames or the Basingstoke Canal. While her father was clerk of works on the then new bridge at Hampton Court, she lived nearby and even on a houseboat. Later she was on the island at Thames Ditton before footbridge replaced ferryman.

She considered herself a 'water baby' and had many stories of life on the river. One triumph was in 1934 winning the silver (hallmarked Birmingham 1933) engraved cup. Her name was never added."
