Black and white photograph of Henley Royal Regatta 1912 showing large numbers of spectators in punts and rowing boats on the river watching the royal barge arriving, carrying King George V and Queen Mary.

One of a collection of vintage photographs (source unknown) used by the art director Gene Allan on his ser designs for the film 'My Fair Lady'. He also directed the Ascot scene and the bar room scene where they sang 'Get me to the Church on Time'. He won an Oscar for his work on the movie. Gene Allan lives in Newport, California , these photographs came to the museum via David Grant, President and Chief Coach at Orange County College Rowing Club, California.
