Colour slide of the River Thames from Whitchurch, Oxfordshire.
Taken by Anthony Haines before 1998, as part of a photographic commission for the book "The Thames from source to sea" by Paul Atterbury and Anthony Haines. Published in 1998 by Weidenfield & Nicholas. Republished in 2002 by Cassell.
Shows a view down onto the river and brick arched bridge in the distance. There is a wooded hill in the background and at least two scullers on the river in front of the bridge. There are fields and trees either side of the river and a hole in the foreground.
