Description
CD copy of an oral History recording on a mini-disc of Mr Godfrey Potter.

Mr. Potter was nine years old when war broke out. He relates his exact circumstances when the announcement was made. It is an account of a schoolboy's impression of the war. The river at Oxford played a very important role in his life, both for rowing and living. He was a part of his fathers Home Guard Unit, parading with them in his cadet's uniform. He describes being able to see the fires of the blitz of Lonndon from the Banbury roundabout, and seeing Dorniers flying over Oxford on their way to Coventry.
