CD copy of an oral history mini-disc recording of the reminiscences of Bevis Sandford.

Mr Sandford talks about rowing at Eton College and Trinity Hall Cambridge. He competed at Henley Regatta, and the Boat Race. He talks about the training that went on during the Second World War; how the Oxford and Cambridge crews came to an arrangement about the amount of training that would be done. He talks about their diet and how he tried to research an appropriate diet for rowers but had little success. He was in the Boat Race of 1940 which took place in Henley-on-Thames; he was the cox of the winning Cambridge crew. After this race Mr Sandford became more involved with coaching.
