Description
A replica (badge) of the Diamond Sculls, in a presentation box. Belonged to R Lee, winner of the Diamond Sculls race, at the Henley Royal Regatta in 1927.
Rectangular wooden box with a push catch to open. Engraved silver plate on the top. Two hinges hold the lid on, which is lined with brown velvet and has a silver plate detailing the races R Lee completed. The bottom half of the box contains the replica badge, which rests on velvet padding. The badge is comprised of two crossed silver oars with a green wreath, attached to the bottom of the wreath is a gold knot with a diamond drop surrounded by gold. Red jewels and diamonds rest on the wreath. The badge fitting is missing.
