Silver cream-jug; part of a 3 piece tea service belonging to the Shanghai Rowing Club. Dated 1893.
The jug has a decorative bamboo design handle, with large Shanghai Silver hallmark. Indented marks of a decorative nature as a background to the engraved markings of trees, birds and flowers.
