Silver Steward's badge belonging to W Dalziel Mackenzie who was elected a Steward of Henley Royal Regatta in 1881.
He served on the committee until 1922 and died in 1928. Stewards were elected for life and their silver badges are passed from lapel to lapel. The Mackenzie family purchased Fawley Court in 1853, and during the 1900's the Stewards acquired much of the estate, including Temple Island which is the start of the Regatta course.
