Oral History recording on a mini-disc of Dr Michael Brooks.
Containing memories of the Home Guard, Upper Thames Patrol and University Boat Races during the war. In this interview Dr Brooks tells of being at Radley College at the outbreak of war, of his experiences in the Home Guard. After Radley, Dr Brooks went up to New College, Oxford to read medicine. While there he was Captain of boats for his College and he was in the university boat. There were boat races in '42, '43, '44, '45 he raced in 1943 and 1944 after which he joined the Army. Dr Brooks was also in the Home Guard while at Oxford.
