SIDNEY SWANN
The Rev Sidney Swann sculled across the English Channel from Dover to Cap Gris-Nez in 1911, setting a record of 3 hours 50 minutes. His record stood until May 4 1983, when Ivor Lloyd lowered it to 3 hours 35 minutes.

Swann rowed for Cambridge in ????.
