Stuart Mackenzie won the Diamond Sculls at Henley for six years consecutively from 1957 to 1962. With Christopher Davidge he won the Double Sculls in 1959 and the Silver Goblets in 1963. Mackenzie's feat in the Diamonds is likely to remain unsurpassed; born in Melbourne??, he also competed in the Olympic Games for Australia and with Barn Cottage and Leander Club in Britain. His main sculling rival was V Ivanov of the Soviet Union who lost to him each time they met at Henley but beat him at the Olympic Games. (Ivanov won three Olympic titles for single sculling.)
